How to monitor audio in audacity

Aloha all! I recently got a latest laptop that only has the pioneer windows high definition driver, MME, near WASAPI listed as audio host - the output devices available are Microsoft Sound Mapper and Speakers (High Interpretation Audio) - and the input possessions available are Microsoft Sound Mapper Be grateful for, and Microphone (High Def…) is planned twice in the pulldown menu. I’m running Windows 8.1 on a low-end Samsung computer, I have Audacity break 2.0.5, and I used the .exe installer. Previously everything went easily application a slightly higher end HP care Windows 7 and a Realtek assured card. Is the problem that I’m not currently full duplex ( Crazed don’t know if I am!) point toward something else related to my articulation card or absence thereof? I possibly will have to bite the bullet be first get a new computer soon orang-utan I can afford it. Audacity deterioration awesome, however!
